Initiation ludique au patinage pour les enfants de 3 à 8 ans
Le programme Les Pingouins initie les enfants âgés de trois (3) à huit (8) ans au plaisir de patiner, à travers une variété de jeux dynamiques et d’exercices amusants. Chaque séance propose des activités structurées dans un cadre sécuritaire et bienveillant, favorisant l’apprentissage et le développement des compétences de base sur la glace.
L’approche est axée sur le développement des habiletés locomotrices, de l’équilibre et de la maîtrise d’objets à travers des mouvements fondamentaux. Les enfants relèvent de petits défis adaptés à leur niveau, leur permettant de vivre des réussites tout en apprenant à composer avec l’échec — un élément essentiel au développement de la confiance en soi.
Une motivation à la hauteur des petits exploits
Collectionnez les animaux!
Pour encourager la persévérance et souligner chaque participation, un autocollant est remis à l’enfant à la fin de chaque séance. Une lanière, offerte lors de l’inscription, permet de collectionner les cartes correspondant aux animaux des différents niveaux franchis.
L’attribution du niveau se fait selon l’âge et les habiletés de l’enfant, assurant un encadrement stimulant et un niveau de difficulté adapté à chacun.
Changer de niveau est un moment marquant et valorisant pour l’enfant. Pour souligner cette étape, le moniteur remet un dessin de la mascotte associée au niveau atteint. L’œuvre coloriée est ensuite affichée fièrement sur la porte du casier — une belle façon de reconnaître les progrès accomplis!
Équipement obligatoire
Pour assurer la sécurité et le confort de votre enfant sur la glace, l’équipement suivant est obligatoire. Il est de la responsabilité du participant de l’apporter :
- Patins : Courtes lames (hockey ou artistiques).
- Casque : Coque rigide avec système de réglage fonctionnel et sangle au menton (les casques de vélo ne sont pas permis)
- Protège-cou : Modèle bavette couvrant le cou et le haut de la poitrine
- Gants ou mitaines : En matériau résistant à l’eau
- Protège-genoux
- Vêtements longs et confortables : Couvrant les poignets et les chevilles
Le CPVMG n’offre pas de service de location de patins à courtes lames.

Les activités auront lieu à l’aréna Sylvio Mantha et Georges Mantha (Complexe sportif Gadbois):
- Bloc A : Samedi 10h30 – 11h30
- Bloc B : Samedi 11h30 – 12h30
- Bloc C : Dimanche 15h00 – 16h00
- Bloc D : Dimanche 16h00 – 17h00

A Fun Introduction to skating for children ages 3 to 8
The Les Pingouins program introduces children aged three (3) to eight (8) to the joys of skating through a variety of dynamic games and playful exercises. Each session includes structured activities in a safe and caring environment, promoting learning and the development of essential on-ice skills.
The program focuses on developing locomotor skills, balance, and object control through a series of fundamental movements. Children are guided through small, age-appropriate challenges that help them experience success while also learning how to cope with failure — an important part of building self-confidence.
Motivation That Matches Every Milestone
Collect the Animals!
To encourage perseverance and recognize every effort, children receive a sticker at the end of each session. At registration, each child is given a lanyard to collect cards featuring animals that represent their progression through the program.
Participants are placed in levels based on age and skill in order to maintain a stimulating and appropriately challenging environment.
Moving up a level is a special and meaningful moment for children. To celebrate this achievement, the instructor gives the child a coloring page of the mascot for the level they’ve completed. Once finished, the masterpiece is proudly displayed on the locker room door — a fun and encouraging way to showcase their progress!
Required Equipment
To ensure your child’s safety and comfort on the ice, the following equipment is mandatory, and it is the participant’s responsibility to bring it:
- Skates: Short blades (hockey or figure skates).
- Helmet: Hard outer shell with a working adjustment system and chin strap (bike helmets are not allowed)
- Neck guard: Bib-style, fitted to cover the neck and upper chest
- Gloves or mittens: Made of water-resistant material
- Knee pads
- Long, comfortable clothing: Covering wrists and ankles
The CPVMG does not offer short track skate rentals.
